Christmas 2008

Art de Maddie with some Play-doh.

Despte having the flu...fun times with Daddy.

Mustang Sally

Poor little monkey had the flu (from Mommy) this Christmas...but was able to enjoy our Christmas Eve celebration at George's daughtert's house. Fun with ping pong, Kael & Maddie playing hide and go seek & as always good treats. Maddie is in love with her teapot set from my sister Sherry, the monkey ("George") from our friends Marianne, loves her Panda ("Bamboo") from my brother Mark, is gaga over her new baby from my Aunt Patty and Uncle Tom, is a budgening clothing designer with the magnet doll clothing set from Ryan and Lenny and nuts about the Dora coloring book and game from DeeAnn and Mike. She's also feeling rather big-girl-like with her own bike from Poppa and now with her horse - Sally - from Santa.

Merry Christmas Eve!

I'll post pictures later. It's 11pm here. George and I just finished putting together Maddie's first rocking horse...WOW! It's name is Liberty and it's a Radio Flyer. Maddie had asked for this a well from Santa and if she gets a horse plans to name it Sally. We both feel like engineers at this point and feel it should be named Rocket. The cookies and milk are out too and the Tinkerbell stocking's ready (hence Tink on this posting). This is soooo much fun. I haven't had this much fun since I was a kid on Christmas!

Gingerbread House Antics

Oh my! Okay...first let me just say I've never made one of these things in my life...but it will now be a tradition! Fortunately we have 2...so consider this the test run! Maddie enjoyed it and was diligent about making sure the icing and candy was up to par. One for the house, three for her. I've had the flu all week and haven't been on my game. Cards are late, a frantic rush tomorrow for last minute presents and a day of baking today. Ho Ho Ho! Feeling better just this afternoon...so on our quiet Christmas day we'll be doing the 2nd "real one". Bring on the icing!!

Visit with Santa

Maddie was stoked this year to see Santa. The agreement she made was to sit next to him but not on his lap - it was only their second meeting together and a girl's gotta have standards. She had what she wanted laid out - jungle toys, the baby that swims and the dog that swims. Well...within 30 seconds she was on his lap petting his beard.
