San Diego and 4th of July

I'm so lucky to have a 3rd parent to help raise her.
They love playing pirates - Lefty, Joe Joe, Red and Blacky...and such tales and pretend play with each other. And she LOVES swimming in Poppa's pool, going to the Jump Jump place and eating avacados with lemon with him. Oh...mustn't forget the baby Oreos :)

Maddie is in Tae Kwan Do twice a week. She spars every Thursday...and is extremely proud of her mouthgard. We are waiting for her uniform. She LOVES it...and is so very disciplined. Usually this is a class for 5+...so the teacher let her come for a trial...and that was all it took. She listens carefully and keeps up with others. She burped during this little video which is what is cracking her up at the end. She told us we're not to do that during Tae Kwon Do..."that's not very respectful".

Happy Easter Part II
Maddie had a blast with her own little hunt here at the house. All she wanted was superhero stuff - the Easter Bunny did a good job!!

Happy Easter Part I

Easter is one of my favorite holidays - easy preparation and welcoming Spring. We went to the Peoria Sport Complex for the morning - hot, hot, hot! Maddie had fun with little kid games and a candy hunt. She's so funny - she never really eats the candy. Next year I'll have to remember to have her ask the Easter Bunny for little rings and non-candy items. Then, home to decorate eggs. We LOVE doing this. I bought extra for later on - who says we can't decorate eggs more often!
Maddie is doing great. She's such a sweet girl. VERY CHATTY right now. If there is a word she doesn't understand, she asks. Pretty amazing vocabulary and we're always tickled at what comes out of her mouth. She kisses George's chest nightly - to help it heal. He's doing well and we're steadily back into our little rythm. Happy Spring!
